“He was honoured for participating in the struggle for Independence He was Born on 2nd June 1942 at Kambi Village in Kasama. He went to Malole for his education and did Standard VI Upper in 1962. In July, 1962, his father who was a burning freedom fighter surrendered him to be part of the youth movement where he soon became a youth leader. In July 1963, many of the youths were arrested in an operation by a combined force from Kabwe Mobile Police. They were interrogated and his name was mentioned as the master minder of the whole thing. He was followed to Chitambo Village and he was arrested there. He was sentenced to 15 years with hard labour. He was declared a political delinquent.”
