“He was honoured for his participation in the freedom struggle. He organized boycotts against buying foodstuff from windows and was involved in civil disobedience where a Police Officer was stabbed on the leg with a spear. He was arrested and imprisoned at Bwana Mkubwa Prison for nine months. After the sentence he was sent to his village where he was not allowed to move out.”
