“He was honoured for the role he played in the choir which crafted songs to motivate and inspire the Africans to rise against the colonial masters. As a leader of the Action group ,he worked in different areas mobilizing people to join the freedom fight. These areas included the chiefdoms of Unda-unda. Mumpansha and Shikabeta ,and Also in Chanyanya, Chipapa and Kafue Mission School. He was arrested and imprisoned at Central prison nicknamed as Chimbokaila.”
