“He was honoured for his contribution in the advancement of education when he joined the African Education Department in Mazabuka. He was a teacher at Lubwa Mission school in Chinsali where he taught commercial courses. He later taught at Chalimbana Teacher Training College in Chongwe in Lusaka Province together with Rev. Maxwell Robertson. He retired from the teaching service in 1948 and settled on a farm in Chalimbana area and was once Chairman of the Rufunsa Rural Council Agricultural Show Committee.”
