“He was honoured for his achievement in building through the Muchinga Mountains a gravel road linking Chingombe in Luano valley with the plateau while he was a Priest of Jesuit Missionary Society at Chingombe Mission. The road he constructed has been named after him as Perdik’s Pass. Born in Slovakia in 1918, he came to Zambia in 1948 and died in 2001 in Lusaka.”
