“He was honoured for the role he played in the development of the local church in Kasisi area. He also gave moral and material support to families of detained politicians when the colonialist banned the African National Congress. (ANC). He was the first Catholic Archbishop of Lusaka and the first Zambian to be created as a Cardinal. Born in Poland in 1911 he came to Zambia in 1946 and died in Lusaka in 2011.”
